Who doesn’t love a new blend from Young Living? If you are someone who eagerly awaits that box of monthly wellness, this one may have you a bit more impatient. And it’s only available for a limited time, so make sure to get yours this month. Check out what’s in the new Higher Unity blend.

I see some sacred in there

Whenever you see the word ‘sacred’ on a bottle of oil, you can be sure that this ain’t your run-of-the mill lavender. Plants with sacred in their name are usually rare species with limited availability. These are your top shelf oils, friends. We need more of that in our diffusers, right?

This blend has top notes of lime and spearmint that add a bit of sweetness to mellow out the heavier sandalwood and frankincense. It will definitely be a great oil to use during meditation.

Sacred Sandalwood

This oil comes from Australia from trees that must grow for 40-80 years before reaching maturity and readiness for distillation. It adds a warm, woodsy, slightly sweet aroma. It is a heavier oil, and as such, it provides a nice base for the other oils.

Traditionally, sandalwood was used during religious ceremonies, and the tree itself is considered holy in some cultures. Sacred sandalwood is great for prayer and meditation, as well as encouraging mental clarity and focus. Apply to the solar plexus when you are seeking a sense of purpose or direction. It is also very calming and relaxing when inhaled. Many skincare products contain sandalwood, and it is particularly beneficial for dry skin.

Lime

The zesty aroma of lime is uplifting, and adds a nice freshness to this blend. Lime essential oil is surprisingly calming to the nerves and is also included in the Stress Away blend. Learn more about the benefits of limes.

Sacred Frankincense

Sacred Frankincense essential oil comes from the distillation of the resin of the Boswellia sacra frankincense tree. This oil is also useful for spiritual purposes and for peaceful meditation. Sacred frank is supportive of the throat chakra and can help inspire confidence. It is also very soothing to the nerves and promotes a relaxing atmosphere.

Spearmint

This minty essential oil is less pungent than peppermint, so it adds a more gentle aroma. This oil is very uplifting and helps create a sense of wellbeing. When diffused or applied topically, spearmint is very supportive of the nervous system and encourages positive emotions.

Lemon

Lemon essential oil has a bright, happy aroma that is great for uplifting mood. It also improves memory. This oil balances the solar plexus chakra, and thus promotes optimal digestion, excellent self awareness, and appropriate assertiveness. Check out some more great uses for lemon essential oil.

Northern Lights Black Spruce

The woodsy, invigorating scent of black spruce creates an uplifting atmosphere ideal for meditation. It is distilled at the Northern Lights tree farm in British Columbia, Canada. The trees are bathed in the energy of the Northern Lights, or aurora borealis, which many cultures believe contain energy for spiritual renewal and clarity. This oil adds a sharp, earthy aroma to the blend.

Jasmine Brings Brightness and Lightness to the Blend

Jasmine essential oil is a very floral and it is packed with more than 100 chemical constituents including linalool, geraniol, and eugenol. Many women like to apply jasmine essential oil to the belly during that time of the month. Or you can add a drop to conditioner or moisturizer. In this blend, the jasmine aroma is prominent and easily identifiable. It brings a brightness and lightness to the aroma of the blend.

Last, but not Least, Rose

Rose is one of the most prized essential oils for its aphrodisiac effect, skin beautifying properties, and luxurious aroma. When applied to the skin, it helps to balance moisture levels in the skin, and may help reduce the appearance of skin imperfections. When diffused or inhaled, it is emotionally uplifting. In the Higher Unity blend, the sweetness of rose balances the earthiness of black spruce and compliments the jasmine essential oil very nicely.

How to enjoy Higher Unity

To me, this blend was created for diffusing. It smells so gentle, so calming, and so clean that you will love it around the house. I suggest using it to lift the mood of your atmosphere.

It is light enough to be worn as a perfume, or you may  choose to wear in a diffuser necklace.

Ideal times to enjoy Higher Unity are during prayer and meditation or when you are just trying to feel a bit more focused and centered within yourself.
